Canelo’s Story
We rescued Canelo in may 2024, from the NYC ACC. He had to be sedated to be removed from the facility due to his being reactive, most likely because he was scared and in pain.
When we rescued him, he was almost furless. His skin was raw, inflamed and full of scabs.
Canelo is now trusting everyone at the rescue, and is coming out of his shell more and more every day.
Just like #WeberNybc, Canelo is a good dog. Sadly, due to his fear reaction, he would’ve been euthanized.
Who could blame his reactivity? He was alone in a shelter, in pain, after his family abandoned him.
Canelo previously lived in a home with children, and dogs.
We would love nothing more than to see Canelo in a home.
