howie’s Story
We were contacted by a family in the Bronx who needed to surrender their dog.
The family is moving, and couldn’t take the dog with them. When we asked if they wanted us to hold onto him until they were settled, they replied that they cannot take him to a new spot.
When Howie arrived to us, he was wearing a shock collar.
We believe that the family tried to “correct” his unwanted behavior by shocking him. We suspect this ultimately ended up with them not wanting to “take him to a new spot.”
His previous life looked hectic, and not appropriate for a young dog full of life and energy like Howie, who only wants to learn.
Howie is a one year old bully, and he loves people, as well as other dogs.
