lyle’s Story
We were contacted by a family who found a dog wandering on the highway last week.
The poor dog was brought to the ER, and sadly, he had no tags or chip.
He is underfed, with overgrown nails, and his butchered ears appear to have been cut with scissors.
We can tell that he was not properly cared for prior to his rescue, and was most likely neglected.
The finders contacted the police and posted him on Facebook in hopes of finding his family, to no avail.
This is heartbreaking, as he must have been abandoned on purpose.
Although they only had him for a week, they say that he is a very good dog.
The family even had him meet their dog and cats, and he was great with them.
However, he is scared of loud noises, and gets easily spooked.
We will be vetting him, but in the meantime, we desperately need a temporary foster home until we have room at the rescue.
Sadly, the family cannot keep him and we need to find a foster home ASAP.
