Marla’s Story
This little sweetheart was recently surrendered to the shelter in North Carolina after her owner went to jail.
We were asked to pull her, as we also pulled Kingston, Tato, and Dodi from the same shelter.
Marla is an adorable eleven-month-old female who weighs only 30 pounds.
When Marla arrived at the shelter, she had an eye injury and also tested positive for heartworm, for which she has been undergoing treatment.
Sadly, despite many rounds of antibiotics, Marla was diagnosed with corneal scarring from a corneal ulcer. The good news is that her eye isn't painful and does not need to be removed.
This pretty girl will soon be coming to New York in search of her happily ever after.
