Oriana’s Story
We were contacted by an NYPD officer from the 69th precinct in Brooklyn about a dog who was surrendered to them.
Someone came in the precinct with their dog, who was overbred and looked to have recently had puppies, saying that they didn’t want her anymore and wanted to surrender her.
The officers, doing their best to help this poor mama, told the “owner” that they would have to bring her to the town shelter, where she would be most likely euthanized.
The “owner“ responded: I’m ok with that.
Knowing that this person used this poor dog for profit and then discarded her like trash, not caring if she would be euthanized or not, is beyond infuriating.
Not only was this poor mama overbred, but her ears were completely butchered and look to have been cut with scissors.
Thankfully, the officers reached out to us, and this sweet mama is now safe from any harm.
We vowed to find her the best family, something she never had before.
