ricky’s Story
We were contacted by a family who found a nine-month-old puppy roaming by himself in the streets of South Carolina with scratches on his back.
They brought him to the veterinarian - and to no surprise, he didn’t have a chip. They contacted the shelter, shared him on social media, and even shared him on Paw Boost, to no avail.
They contacted us in their last attempt to help him before they brought him to a shelter.
We couldn’t let this little fellow end up at a shelter, with an uncertain fate, and were able to secure a place for him in SC, where he will be vetted until he can come to New York.
We believe that little Ricky was
abandoned outside, as no one loses their puppy without frantically looking for them.
It took a village to rescue Ricky, but we did it. Ricky is now safe, and we vowed to help him find a deserving home.
