tyson’s Story

Some of you might remember Tyson.

We rescued Tyson two years ago after he was left in the yard of a home for his entire life, with little interaction with the outside world. Tyson was fearful of unknown people and eventually became reactive.

Tyson had been let down by his “family” since he was a puppy, creating behavioral issues, though by no fault of his. The family even let their child mistreat him, which resulted in a bite.

Tyson was then locked in a small crate until animal control picked him up and manipulated him with a catch pole, traumatizing him further.

Although we do not know the full extent of what they did to him, we know that Tyson left the shelter with a large scar on his head.

When Tyson finally arrived at our rescue, he was petrified of everything but was still very sweet.

Eventually, Tyson was adopted by a family who understood his needs and trauma, until about ten months ago, Tyson bit his owner in the face.

We are heartbroken about the whole situation and have been evaluating Tyson since his return to us almost a year ago.

After evaluating him, we feel comfortable adopting Tyson out to someone who is confident and knowledgeable.

We know there are rottie lovers out there that can give Tyson the right home. A home he deserves.
