HELP ME GET SEEN & ADOPTED!

roo’s Story

We have some heartbreaking news to share about Roo, a puppy we adopted out in 2016.

Yesterday, we received a call from Brookhaven Animal Hospital informing us that they checked the microchip on a dog brought in, and it was registered to us. The woman who brought Roo in claimed she found him, but when asked for identification, she said she would retrieve it from her car and left, never to return.

We then began investigating through our adoption contracts from 2016, as they were issued in the adopter’s name rather than Roo’s. We are committed to finding this information to understand what happened and to determine if Roo’s adopter dropped him off or if he somehow escaped and was found wandering.

Regardless, Roo is now in need of immediate veterinary care, and the situation is looking concerning.

We are reaching out to our community for support. If you can help with a donation, it would greatly assist us in covering Roo’s medical expenses and ensuring he gets the care he desperately needs.

Thank you for your kindness and support during this difficult time. We will keep everyone updated as we learn more about Roo’s situation.

We are all devastated to see what happened to him. We promise him that moving forward, he will never be found in harm’s way.
